Personalized Training for Athletes Who Want Real Results.

This spring and summer, Spark is evolving our youth performance training to provide a more personalized and results-driven experience.

Instead of large group athlete classes, we now offer Youth Small Group Performance Training (YSGPT) — a structured program designed to help athletes build strength, speed, power, and confidence through individualized coaching.

With just 3–5 athletes per group, our coaches can deliver focused training that helps each athlete develop at the right pace while still benefiting from the energy of a team environment.

What Makes Small Group Performance
Training Different

Our Small Group Performance Training program combines the benefits of personal training with the motivation of training alongside other athletes.

Each group follows a structured training plan built around the goals and needs of the athletes in the group.

Athletes work with a coach who understands their development and helps guide them through each phase of training.

Program Focus Includes:

  • Strength development

  • Speed and acceleration

  • Power and explosiveness

  • Conditioning and athletic durability

  • Movement quality and injury prevention

Athletes begin with baseline testing so our coaches can create a goal-oriented training plan and track progress over time.

Program Structure

8-week training commitment

  • 60-minute sessions

  • 3–5 athletes per group

  • Reserved weekly training time for consistency

  • Up to 2 reschedules per 8-week training block

  • Baseline testing and progress re-testing

Whenever possible, athletes train with the same coach throughout the program to build consistency and accountability. When collaboration between coaches is needed, the training plan is developed together to ensure continuity.

How Groups Are Formed

We offer two simple ways for athletes to join a Small Group Performance Training program. This flexible approach allows athletes to either train with friends/teammates or be placed into an Open Training group, while maintaining the personalized coaching and small group environment that makes the program effective.

  • Many athletes prefer to train with teammates or friends. Families can form their own group of 3–5 athletes with similar goals, sports, or schedules.

    This is often the most fun and convenient option, allowing athletes to train alongside teammates or peers while still receiving individualized coaching.

    Once your group is formed, you can submit preferred training days and times, and our performance team will match you with the appropriate coach.

  • Athletes can also join one of our Open Training Groups, where individuals enroll in designated training times and our performance team builds the group. These groups are co-ed and may include athletes from a variety of sports, and our coaches design the training to support each athlete’s specific performance needs.
